DBmarlin 5.11.0 now available with Webhooks and Co-pilot improvements

We’re excited to announce the release of DBmarlin 5.11, where we added alerting to a custom Webhook and improved our AI Co-pilot capabilities to support 2 new providers (Google and Microsoft).

Co-pilot Improvements

Co-pilot New Models

We’ve enhanced our Co-pilot capabilities to support additional providers and models, ensuring you have more options for AI-powered assistance. The DBmarlin Co-pilot now integrates with Google and Microsoft, offering access to advanced models like Gemini 3 Pro and OpenAI GPT-5.1. These newer models are breaking previous benchmarks and providing even better insights for your database performance monitoring needs.

Alerting to a custom webhook

DBmarlin previously supported sending alerts to a number of alerting channels, including email, Slack, PagerDuty and ServiceNow. The new webhook feature allows you to configure custom endpoints for alert notifications. This gives you the flexibility to integrate DBmarlin alerts with your existing monitoring and incident management systems. You can fully customise the endpoint, the HTTP headers and the payload.

Anomaly Detection

We have been busy working on adding Anomaly Detection capabilities to DBmarlin. This feature will help you identify unusual patterns in your database performance, allowing you to proactively address potential issues before they impact your operations. Several key performance metrics based on activity and SQL Statistics for SQL statements now have baselines calculated, and any deviation from this baseline will result in a Recommendation being displayed on the Recommendations screen. We will continue to add more in the way of visualization for the baselines and anomalies in coming releases.

SQL Agent Jobs improvements

Last month we added the collection of SQL Agent Jobs executions for SQL Server customers. This month, we’ve improved it further with the aggregation of SQL Agent Jobs executions by Job name and the addition of a new tab to view the aggregated data. We also added a filter panel at the top of the screen to filter by Job name.

Additional Improvements

  • Licence keys can now contain a second MAC address, so only a single licence is needed in the case of an HA DBmarlin setup with more than one DBmarlin server.
  • When setting up new Instances or Hosts, the settings page now links to the docs page for that technology so you can see the prerequisites.
  • Errors are now exposed to the end user in the form of a popup box rather than being hidden in the browser console.
  • The Event History and Events tabs now include filter buttons to filter by Alerts, Events or Changes.
  • The top-level filter panel, which can filter by host or database type and tags from the Dashboard screen, has now been added to other screens such as the DB versions screen and Instance overview screen.

DBmarlin 5.11 continues our mission to make performance monitoring easier and more intelligent across every major database platform.
