DBmarlin 6.3 Released – Now with Single Sign-on (SSO)
Last week, we released DBmarlin v6.3 with a much-requested feature: SSO (Single Sign-on). In addition, we made some nice improvements to the way we display execution plans.
SSO (Single Sign-on)
This version now allows you to sign in to DBmarlin using your preferred SSO provider, such as Microsoft Entra, Google, Okta, Auth0, or another OAuth2/OIDC provider. See the docs for more details on how to set this up. Once configured, you can log in to DBmarlin using SSO rather than a local DBmarlin account.

Execution plan improvements
The first thing you will notice is that we now have a chart showing plan samples over time. This makes it easy to see if the cost of a statement has changed. You can view any of the plans by clicking a dot on the chart or scroll through them using the buttons.
Overlaid on the same chart, we show Alerts, Changes, and Custom events by default. You can also choose to overlay Total Time, Executions, and Average Duration to see how they correlate with the plan cost.

Clicking the button in the top right allows you to switch from top/down split to left/right split which can be easier when you have very long plans.
