DBmarlin 5.10.0 now available with SQL Agent Job collection

We’re excited to announce the release of DBmarlin 5.10, packed with new features and improvements designed to make database monitoring faster, easier, and more insightful than ever

SQL Agent Jobs history screen for SQL Server

You can now view the history of SQL Agent jobs directly within DBmarlin. This gives you full visibility into job execution times, success/failure status, and performance trends all in one place.

To enable this feature you need to click the checkbox for Collect Job History in the Advanced section of the sensor settings. The screen shows a list of all SQL Agent job executions and whether they succeeded or failed and how long they took to run.

Faster upgrades

Upgrading DBmarlin is now significantly faster. We’ve redesigned how schema changes are applied, reducing the time taken for upgrades and making version transitions smoother, especially on large installations.

New Agent Settings Screen

Managing remote agents just got easier. The new Agent Settings screen lets you:

  • View all connected agents
  • See their status and version
  • Clean up unused or stale entries

This makes it simpler to keep your deployment tidy and up to date.

Additional Improvements

  • Hosts now display alerts directly on the performance charts.
  • DBmarlin on Linux now auto-runs timescaledb-tune before upgrades for better PostgreSQL performance and stability.
    • You can override any automatically tuned settings using the new postgresql.conf.override file.
  • Restricted users can no longer edit integrations, tightening role-based access control.
  • Added the option to duplicate a datasource or host, making it faster to configure new instances.
  • Dashboard events are now clickable, taking you straight to the relevant Events screen.

DBmarlin 5.10 continues our mission to make performance monitoring easier and more intelligent across every major database platform.
