DBmarlin 5.9.0 now available with AI Co-pilot usability improvements

This month’s DBmarlin 5.9.0 release brings a wide range of improvements, from upgrades to the AI Co-pilot through to usability, encryption, and even support for high availability (HA) DBmarlin server setups
AI Co-pilot – Smarter, Easier Access
DBmarlin Co-pilot continues to evolve, making AI-driven insights even more accessible. With 5.9.0 you can now set system-level AI providers and models, meaning only one administrator needs to configure API keys and endpoints. Once set, all DBmarlin users can access Co-pilot without needing to manage their own keys.
We’ve also added support for a new provider xAI, with the Grok Code Fast 1 and Grok 4 models which in our testing are able to provide responses on par with the latest models from OpenAI and Google Gemini which we already support.
Time Range & Workflow Improvements
Monitoring performance often means looking at the right data at the right time. To make this easier, we’ve added:
- Auto-refresh across all screens – automatically pulling new data every 10 seconds for short time spans.
- Nudge controls – quickly shift your selected time range backward or forward without having to open the date picker.

These changes make navigation faster and analysis more fluid.
High Availability (HA) Support
For teams running DBmarlin in mission-critical environments, 5.9.0 adds bundled HA sync scripts to make setting up resilient DBmarlin servers easier. Full setup details are in our High Availability guide.
🛠 Other notable improvements
This release also includes several quality-of-life updates and security enhancements:
- Enhanced encryption for passwords and API keys.
- Improved reporting of PostgreSQL replication lag.
- Better error handling in the Windows installer.
With 5.9.0, DBmarlin delivers smoother workflows, stronger security, and more flexible AI insights, all while preparing for enterprise-grade HA setups.
